Visa Support – Meetings in Switzerland<\/h2>\n<\/div>\n\n

Citizens of some countries are required to obtain a visa in order to enter Switzerland. Visa applications must be submitted to the Swiss foreign mission closest to their place of residence at least four (4) weeks prior to the planned travel date.<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n

Registration of participants to ITU-R activities<\/a> is carried out exclusively on-line through the approval of Designated Focal Points (DFPs) for ITU-R event registration<\/a><\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n

\n

When needed, visa support must \u200bbe requested during the on-line regist<\/strong>ration process.  \u200b<\/strong>The following information mus\u200bt be provided for each participant requiring visa support:  <\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n

  • Name on passport<\/li>\n<\/div>\n\n
    \n
  • Date and place of birth<\/li>\n<\/div>\n\n
    \n
  • Passport number<\/li>\n<\/div>\n\n
    \n
  • Passport issuance and expiry dates<\/li>\n<\/div>\n\n
    \n
  • Passport country of issuance<\/li>\n<\/div><\/ul>\n<\/div>\n\n
    \n

    There is no need to send further documentation to ITU as the visa support request procedure will follow automatically. For meetings held in Switzerland, please allow up to 21 days for a confirmation of support to be provided by ITU.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n

    Visa support confirmations will be sent to the DFP who will be responsible for forwarding each confirmation to the concerned participant. Support confirmations will NOT be sent directly to meeting participants. \u200b<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/div>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
