Harnessing <\/strong>AI for good<\/strong><\/p>\n
The AI for Good Global Summit, led by ITU in collaboration with 40 UN agencies and Switzerland, leverages AI innovation in line with the UN Sustainable Development Goals, putting tech in the service of global development priorities like health, climate, gender equality, and sustainable infrastructure. Exploring AI governance<\/strong><\/p>\n AI has brought unanticipated challenges and tremendous opportunities. ITU provides a neutral platform for governments, the industry, and academia to build a common understanding of the capabilities of emerging AI technologies and consequent needs for technical standardization and policy guidance. As we continue surveying our Member States on digital policy and regulatory issues, we are gaining rich insights on their governance needs and development aspirations in relation to AI. <\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n

As the technologies and their uses evolve, we continue addressing emerging risks and challenges. We are a key contributor to the UN Secretary-General\u2019s new High-Level Advisory Body on AI.
