{"id":16,"date":"2021-11-11T11:33:01","date_gmt":"2021-11-11T11:33:01","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.itu.int\/now4wrc23g\/?page_id=16"},"modified":"2024-02-06T14:46:24","modified_gmt":"2024-02-06T14:46:24","slug":"mentoring-programme","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/www.itu.int\/now4wrc23\/mentoring-programme\/","title":{"rendered":"Mentoring Programme"},"content":{"rendered":"    <div class=\"ituContainer grid\">\n        <div data-span=\"12\">\n                            <div class=\"ituContainer\">\n<h1 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"what-is-the-now4wrc23-mentoring-programme\">What is the NOW4WRC23 Mentoring Programme?<\/h1>\n<\/div>                            <div class=\"ituContainer\">\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The programme is part of the broader NOW4WRC23 initiative, which aims to provide an active forum for exchanging knowledge, networking and mentoring for women in the ITU Radiocommunication Sector (ITU-R).<\/p>\n<\/div>                            <div class=\"ituContainer\">\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The main objectives of the NOW4WRC23 mentoring programme initiative are three-fold:<\/p>\n<\/div>                            <div class=\"ituContainer\">\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><div class=\"ituContainer\">\n<li>To strive for gender balance among delegates<\/li>\n<\/div>\n\n<div class=\"ituContainer\">\n<li>To prepare women delegates for key roles in the WRC-23<\/li>\n<\/div>\n\n<div class=\"ituContainer\">\n<li>To grow the ITU women\u2019s community in terms of their numbers and level of participation in the conference.<\/li>\n<\/div><\/ul>\n<\/div>                            <div class=\"ituContainer\">\n<h1 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"why-should-i-participate\">Why should I participate?<\/h1>\n<\/div>                            <div class=\"ituContainer\">\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This initiative aims to start building capacity as early as possible in the World Radiocommunication Conference (WRC) preparatory process. It seeks to achieve greater participation of women in key roles leading up to the WRC-23 in the work of the ITU-R Study Groups and their Working Parties, and in the activities of the regional telecommunication organizations (RTOs). It also seeks to increase the number of women nominated by the RTOs for leadership roles at the WRC-23.<\/p>\n<\/div>                            <div class=\"ituContainer\">\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This initiative is also designed to inspire a new generation of women in radiocommunications and forms a crucial step in our goal of exceeding the 30 per cent threshold of women in key roles at ITU-R.<\/p>\n<\/div>                            <div class=\"ituContainer\">\n<h1 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"who-can-be-a-mentee-or-mentor\">Who can be a mentee or mentor?<\/h1>\n<\/div>                            <div class=\"ituContainer\">\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">All women ITU-R delegates are welcome to become mentees.
