The establishment of the Office for Information Technology and e Government
The role of governments is to ensure an appropriate implementation environment for the efficient digital transformation of society. Digitization of the state administration and providing services to citizens is one of the major priorities of the Serbian government. In this respect, in 2017, the Government of the Republic of Serbia has passed a decree on the establishment of the Office for Information Technology and eGovernment. The Office will answer directly to the Prime Minister, and its task will be to consolidate state IT resources, ensure connectivity of various information systems and provide strong support and the basis for the development of Serbia's e-governance.
