Global Scribes (GS) is a dynamic For Youth, By Youth nonprofit designed to disrupt the current trajectory of global chaos, stem social isolation, build cultural understanding and create a worldwide virtual community through the beauty and power of creative expression and youth entrepreneurship, across diverse media platforms free from politics, religion and socio-demographic segregation (SDG10). We are Youth Uniting Nations®. This entrepreneurial online learning platform responds directly to SDG4: building (alternative) education facilities that are child, disability and gender sensitive and provide safe, non-violent & inclusive learning environments for all; and SDG5: enhancing the use of enabling technology to promote the empowerment of girls and other marginalized youth. Youth engage on weekly video calls, WhatsApp chats and through our 4 steps: (1) Writing a text based on our monthly GS Spark Word in English & native language. (2) Bringing their words to life through video/animation. (3) Sharing a glimpse into their lives creating a short video called The Life I Lead [All videos shared on GS YouTube Channel] (4) Joining a GS Team, collaborating on projects they are passionate about with youth from around the world.
