CINE PARA TODOS
Description *
Since 2013 Cine para Todos (Cinema for Everyone) fosters inclusive entertainment, allowing those with visual, hearing or cognitive disabilities to enjoy movie theaters for free. Accessibility is provided through the usage and adoption of ICT. In Cine para Todos the disabled audience has become content prosumers thanks to the capacity building sessions were they learn how to produce audiovisual contents. Moreover, a group of this new prosumers had the opportunity to participate and win the inclusive SMARTIC category of the SmartFilms Festival. Movies are adapted with accessibility technology elements like the audio description, subtitling and interpretation in Colombian Sign Language. This is possible through the synchronization of a free app called WhatsCine made to be compatible with various technology devices. Once a month this special cinema edditions are available in some of the main theaters country wise and in the rural areas they are displayed in the Puntos and Kioskos Vive Digital.
