MadiunMembaca My ID: A New Way for Community Libraries to Connect Books with Fellow Readers

Description

MadiunMembaca my id is an innovative digital platform that aims to make it easier for people to access books and share knowledge through a book lending system. As a Community Library and mobile Library that has been operating since 2015, MadiunMembaca strives to create a more inclusive, environmentally friendly, and efficient literacy ecosystem.

Through this platform, users can easily find the books they need, both in physical and digital form. Not only as a place to borrow, MadiunMembaca also allows its users to share their book collections with each other. This book lending system opens up opportunities for anyone to find books that may not be available in public libraries or bookstores, while also helping book owners to make their collections more useful.

With easy-to-use features, MadiunMembaca allows users to view a list of available books, order books they want to borrow, and make safe and secure borrowing transactions. This platform also supports an active literacy community, where users can share book recommendations, reviews, and discuss various interesting topics from the books they read.

Replicability

Yes. This program can be replicated because it is very easy and simple. The infrastructure only requires a website-based application which is widely available by Free Open Source Software .

Sustainability

Yes it is. The sustainability of MadiunMembaca My Id is possible because it is a way for community libraries and personal book collections owned by the community to be accessed together. Among others:
1. Providing book lending facilities that are carried out by the community and the community together in the field of basic literacy and digital literacy.
2. Providing joint literacy campaign services so that information and knowledge can be accessed by the community as a whole, this can avoid disinformation and hoaxes
3. Develop hybrid-based services, namely online and offline for program affordability.
4. Developing a network of cooperation with many parties in order to further strengthen the governance of resources
