The project is sustainable in a sense that the technical environment is being continuously updated to ensure the up-to date data and best service is provided to all stakeholders. The project has a geodatabase that are constantly updated and new types of data were generated and added. The knowledge transfer is being expanded to the university students and employees to expand the knowledge sharing through training and spread the benefit to a larger community. Data is continuously updated and linkage with other databases, systems and platforms is ongoing to ensure the sustainability of the project. The platform applications are updated and feeded in a way ensures an interactive maps are created along with other applications.
By highlighting the importance of spatial data in the development of the environment and sustainability sector and devote additional efforts to develop similar systems to unify efforts and maximize the benefits from such important systems to all stakeholders. Furthermore, the project expanded the scope of environmental data exchange and sharing at the local, regional and global levels.
