The Gender Mobile (GM) initiative is an accessible to all intervention platform designed to provide specialized support services for girls and women who are survivors of social injustice. Gender Mobile is leveraging technology in the form of a 24/7 dedicated mobile telephone helpline and a web platform where potential victims and survivors can reach our specialised agents, ready and competent enough to provide the required help for variety of victims' and survivors' cases. This combines a phone based helpline with a web and online chat interface that provides survivors with comprehensive information, assistance and long-term help. Another component of our work includes connecting victims and survivors to livelihood support opportunities for them to be self-reliant. One of our long-term projects is the the Adolescent Hub Project designed to sensitize adolescents in secondary schools and Universities on matters relating to several patterns of violence; how they can avoid being victimized, provide needed help to potential victims and survivors. The goal of the Adolescent Hub project is to nip GBV in the bud by carrying out in-school sensitization program which is research-based. This will also help create safe platforms for adolescents who have experienced such to share their experience(s) or experiences they have witnessed.

The Platform has been optimally functional for people living in South West Nigeria because 80percent of our volunteer professionals are based in this location. However, in the past 3 months, we are scaling up to extend services to more people in northern Nigeria. The Gender Mobile platform/intervention is being replicated in Rwanda and experiential learning takes place periodically between the two teams. The Adolescent Hub Projecr started in one State in Nigeria and it is being replicated in 4 other states now.
GM is utilizing technology creatively to interact directly with survivors and provide them with information, referrals, assistance and longer-term help, to close the gap in service delivery.
