Media Oasis is a state-of-the-art haven for journalists. More than a traditional media centre, it is a space where journalists gather, stay updated on the latest developments, and work collaboratively to cover local and international events. The core objectives are multifaceted. The initiative seeks to enhance local relationships by facilitating meetings amid major national initiatives and projects at its headquarters. This strengthens ties with local media counterparts and contributes to a deeper understanding of Saudi’s internal dynamics.
Media Oasis also hosts exhibitions, narrating the significant transformations unfolding across various sectors in Saudi.

Simultaneously, Media Oasis capitalizes on international media presence for event coverage, addressing inquiries and providing insights through specialists representing the showcased initiatives. The project becomes a global communication hub by fostering international collaboration and understanding.
It is dedicated to showcasing the dynamic transformations occurring in Saudi, actively participating in the media landscape, and contributing to the coverage of significant projects and initiatives.

Media Oasis targets transforming Saudi into a global media hub with a creative and non-traditional character. It promotes reliability and precision in summit media coverage, providing content-creating facilities and broadcasting studios to facilitate balanced media coverage from one centralised location. Replicability

Media Oasis is an innovative initiative that goes beyond borders, making its replicability evident on local and international events.

Its earliest international edition in India coincided strategically with the G20 Summit in September 2023. This global endeavour demonstrated the project’s versatility in aligning with significant diplomatic and economic events, enhancing its capacity to adapt to diverse contexts.

The second edition synchronized with the 173rd General Assembly meeting in Paris. The edition took advantage of the international diplomatic audience, leveraging the platform to coincide with the critical voting session for the host country of the Expo 2030. By strategically aligning with such important international events, Media Oasis showcased its ability to seamlessly integrate into diverse global settings.

The replicability of Media Oasis is not confined to a specific geographical location; instead, it prospers on the ability to align with major events of global significance, and its model can be replicated in various countries aiming to host major international summits or expos.

Sustainability

Media Oasis ensures its sustainability by aligning with major events and initiatives involving the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia on a global scale. By strategically participating in significant diplomatic gatherings and expos worldwide, the project maintains its relevance beyond individual events, contributing to the long-term impact of Kingdom’s global engagements.

This adaptability extends to diverse cultural contexts and fosters collaborations with various nations, making Media Oasis a dynamic and sustainable platform. Beyond these activities, the project plays a key role in providing a collaborative space for journalists. This ensures continuous innovation in media coverage, contributing to journalistic spaces' long-term sustainability.

WSIS values promotion

Media Oasis demonstrates the power of technology in fostering interactive engagement and national and international media collaboration and promoting inclusivity and media diversity, aligning with the core values of the WSIS framework. Media Oasis integrates seven innovative zones supported by artificial intelligence. These include the Welcome Zone, Saudi Hospitality Zone, Interaction Zone, Waha Valley, Cultural Bridge, and the Oasis Wings and Theatre. The critical role of ICT in the project is exemplified by showcasing interactive models of major Kingdom projects. Visitors can explore these initiatives in a non-traditional way by taking advantage of advanced technologies. In particular, Metaverse and virtual reality (VR) technologies have been implemented in all the zones and exhibitions of Media Oasis, redefining the conventional boundaries of interactive exhibitions. For journalists, Media Oasis offers a technologically-equipped space tailored to interactive coverage. The VPC platform, available in multiple languages, helps 1200 journalists worldwide, ensuring a smooth and inclusive experience. Integrating metaverse and VR technologies enhances the interactive environment, providing journalists with innovative tools to carry out their work effectively. Furthermore, the inclusion of the four television studios featuring state-of-the-art communication technologies and 64 live-streaming cameras further solidifies Media Oasis’s commitment to WSIS values. These studios have been crucial in broadcasting the proceedings of both international and local summits and events, extending the project’s reach and impact and contributing to media exchange and diversity.
