Electronic education program for elderly people


Elderly persons training program on communication and Information technology

Description

The project aimed to ensure inclusive and equitable quality education and promote lifelong learning opportunities for all.
This goal was achieved by organizing several courses in collaboration with Mada Technology Center to help train older people in the use of smartphones and their applications, the program aims to facilitate the use of technology products including smart devices for older persons and enhance their self-confidence, develop the services provided to them, strengthen the bonds of intergenerational communication, and improve the educational and rehabilitation status of older persons for continuing productive work, especially since technology has become a means of helping to communicate with the community in a modern way.
These programs supported Ehsan center to overcome communication barriers within Corona pandemic

WSIS values promotion

Ehsan was supported by Mada Ict to achieve the the project main goal Digital Equality for All Ages" to highlight the need to use technology to overcome the difficulties of human-oriented life as it ages. The use of ICT by older persons improves self-esteem, reduces isolation and depression, improves quality of life by providing opportunities for friendship development and access to websites that provide cognitive incentives, promotes a sense of interdependence, satisfaction, benefit and positive learning experiences. The project supported and promoted the UN Decade of Healthy Ageing Action Areas in different ways as follows: -T t emphasized how is ICT linked to SDG fourth goal and ? To what extent this link may accelerate SDGs’ implementation? -The impact of ICT on accelerating SDGs - The challenges hampering the efficient utilization of ICT for SDGs’ implementation - Changing how we think, feel and act towards age and ageing; - Developing communities in ways that foster the abilities of older people; - Delivering person centred integrated care and training services responsive to older people - Providing older people who need it with access to long-term E education
