The Report on terms and conditions applicable to users in the use of e-commerce platforms, aims to make transparent and inform users about the terms and conditions to which they are subject when using or transacting through such platforms, as well as providing recommendations and advice to facilitate informed decision-making.The above, in order to promote the informed, responsible and safe use of digital services, as well as to contribute with actions to the program to promote trust in the digital ecosystem, secure access to the Internet and confidence in carrying out operations on electronic commerce platforms.

It is considered that this report can be replicated by other Member States of the Union, since for the preparation of this report the terms and conditions were considered, as well as the privacy policies published on the Internet pages of some of the digital platforms that enable the provision of e-commerce services. Therefore, the information they should have to carry out the analysis is public. Likewise, this report may serve as a basis to take into account the variables identified for the preparation of the report.
The preparation of this report is considered to be sustainable, since the information can be consulted online, therefore, the preparation is entirely in digital format, no paper is used, all content is developed virtually and is available in the cloud.
This Project contributes to the follow-up of the actions undertaken to promote the culture of cybersecurity, the informed and responsible use of internet access, as well as digital services. Likewise, the Report aims to make transparent and make available the content of the privacy policies, so it does not constitute an assessment or qualification of these or the terms and conditions. In addition, it promotes the informed, responsible and safe use of digital services and contributes to the Program to Promote Trust in the Digital Ecosystem implemented by the Federal Telecommunications Institute.
