A system analyzes vegetation and determines land uses based on criteria collected from satellites using geographic information systems, remote sensing techniques, and digital analysis. The system uses these techniques to detect and analyze data digitally to monitor the change in vegetation cover in specific areas. To predict its suitability for agriculture and to give indicators that support the implementation of particular decisions and the commitment to implement the suspension of fodder cultivation. For example, the system finds suitable areas for growing Arabica coffee in the Jazan region, southwestern Saudi Arabia, using Geographic Information System (GIS) and Remote Sensing (RS) and integrates multi-criteria analysis.
