Habka is the first 100% Arabic platform for screenwriting that provides full and reliable support for the Arabic language, and enables Arab screenwriters to write films and series according to approved international standards. Habka platform aims to maximize Arabic content, promote the development of the Arab information society, and advance the regional film industry by providing an advanced Arabic platform for Arab screenwriters to create scripts for films and TV series, with full support for Arabic language, and based on UN sustainable development goals.
The project aspires to push film industry in the Arab region forward by developing the writing process and the governance of production process through clear modeling of the pre-production, production and post-production processes, given that development of scriptwriting is a key point for the advancement of the film industry in the Arab world.

Although the project focuses on Arabic identity, it encourages the development of similar platforms to support other Right To Left languages, as all RTL languages (such as Hebrew, Urdu and Farsi, etc.) are not supported globally, and there is an urgent need to pay attention to those cultural and linguistic minorities.

The cultural, social and economic aspects of Habka meet the UN sustainable development goals by supporting economic development and human well-being in developing regions, as well as improving technological capabilities and enriching information society. Habka provides a suitable environment for industrial and economic diversification that promotes the establishment of new infrastructures that are compatible with development in the film industry. It promotes sustainable and comprehensive economic growth, provides decent jobs for workers in this field, and achieves high levels of production.

The project enables everyone (especially Arabic speakers) to create and utilize information and knowledge in the cultural field of art, cinema, script writing and filmmaking. The platform consolidates the information society, stimulates cultural identity in the cultural and artistic field, and promotes cultural and linguistic diversity. Habka allows the creation and preservation of local cultural content, increases its opportunities for dissemination, allows content makers and filmmakers to enhance their presence, and helps preserve cultural heritage by providing the necessary tools in the artistic field.
