Digital Government Capabilities Development Program


Description

The public sector successful digital transformation including society requires a variety of skills & capacities which are main part of tertiary degrees & government training programmes for all staff.

To optimize the performance of the public sector in Saudi Arabia (SA), the Digital Government Authority (DGA) established in 2019 a designated Digital Governance Academy, also known as (''The-Q-tech-Program)''. Being a central pillar within the digital transformation journey & achieving the national Vision 2030, The-Q-tech-Program's vision, mission & objectives are designed to build a Digital Community through which government employees can acquire, develop, strengthen & enhance the needed skills &capacities for greater productivity & take full advantage of the new emerging technologies through a simple, dedicated, &continuous learning experience.
The-Q-tech-Program introduced in 2021 a comprehensive portfolio of 57 cutting-edge, crowd sourced &Inter/Nationally educator led training courses tailored for Saudi context in English & Arabic & related to business management, IT &innovation etc., available 17&40 on/offline through its platform Q-tech.dga.gov.sa & free for everybody.

The-Q-tech-Program's platform integrates multiple tools allow students & faculty manage admin & academic activities including distance & in person studies & assessments & update course material. It's open-source &is fully compliant with WCAG2.0AA web accessibility standards.

WSIS values promotion

The-Q-tech-Program with its platform & content is aligned with the WSIS C1 Action Line on the role of governments &all stakeholders in the promotion of ICTs for development. It also promotes the WSIS principles of integrity, inclusiveness, &transparency while maintaining the privacy of groups using its portal. The-Q-tech-Program acts as a guarantor of the quality, ethical, objective, unbiased &factual content. It allows the interaction, communication &feedback between the Q-tech-program, training &course participants through the Capstone initiative (for post-course expert advice), &even through mutual assessments of trainers &participants, course evaluations, ratings &feedback. The-Q-tech-program team continuously monitor &manage every input through a predefined process to ensure that no issue or suggestion for improvement is missed &whether being related to the platform’s functionality, usability &web accessibility, course content, teaching methods, trainer or participant performance. Its platform functionalities are fully compliant with WCAG 2.0 AA web accessibility, which started to optimize the user-friendliness &improve access for any user with disability. All content &teaching methods applied via Q-tech-Platform comply with global good practice for usability, web accessibility quality teaching in order to optimize both learning outcomes &minimize the risk of excluding any potential users no matter their age, gender, or socio-economic background is.
