Description

Due to the huge economic impact Covid-19 has had on small business owners and SMEs in particular, we built a mobile application to provide consultancy and mentorship services directly from elite experienced contributors through visual, audio, written communication.
The ICT tools involved are: we built native mobile apps to replace physical meetings and cover more geographically stretched out locations includes: - Video, audio, written chatting. - File exchanging. - Native coding. - Redis. - MVC PhP.
The Nawafth app benefits entrepreneurs, ideators, and small and medium enterprises specifically which represent 99.47% of the Saudi job market and are responsible for 60% of jobs provided within the country.

Replicability

We saw great results from releasing this service to local SMEs and we believe it would be highly beneficial to SMEs and entrepreneurs all over the world. this project is highly replicable and easy to implement due to the lack of geographical boarders of the service.


WSIS values promotion

In order to mitigate the impacts of COVID-19 on small business owners and SMEs in particular, the mobile application that provides consultancy and mentorship services directly through digital means such as visual, audio, written communication, is aligned with WSIS values. For example, this implementation of the mobile application is also promoting the role of governments and all stakeholders in the promotion of ICTs for development, building up the information and communication infrastructure, provide greater access to information and knowledge, Building confidence and security in use of ICTs, as well as using ICT applications to benefit all people through E-government and E-business.
