CPD Vallejo was conceived to serve as the main IT infrastructure for the digital transformation process of Mexico City’s government, as well as a key partner for academic and business projects by providing specialized IT services. Additionally, CPD Vallejo will provide solid and modern IT infrastructure for the following years, assuring resources for the development of new IT projects, helping to reduce expenses in the public budget and guaranteeing management autonomy in its processes and decisions. In the following years CPD Vallejo will host critical digital services related to strategic public policies on issues such as mobility, public safety, environment, government procedures, among others that generate important impacts in citizen’s lives by reducing the cost and time invested in public procedures, increasing the quality of public services and fostering public information, thus contributing to increase transparency and accountability. The Center is located in an area that hosts several industrial hubs, and it will contribute to enhance the economic development of the area, as it is part of a broader initiative to accelerate economic growth.

This project will be sustainable by selling IT services to local and federal public instances, as well as to private enterprises.
As an example of how a well-built project can increase the available infrastructure destined to IT projects and how this infrastructure can be used to generate resources, and web applications that make the project sustainable. Nowadays, many organizations delegate applications, key processes and IT infrastructure to third party instances because of the cost, lack of capacities among other reasons. This project will be a referent of how future public investments can be used to efficient the manage of IT infrastructure.
