CONNECT & STOP VIOLENCE - You can save lives with one click

You can save lives with one click

Description

In France, at 2019, XXIst Century, over 200’000 women live with a violent consort, 94’000 women victims of rape or attempted rape, 4 million of people victims of incest, 1.2 M of women victims of sexist injuries and one in three employees claims to have suffered sexual harassment at work. Far from their mobile phone, victims of domestic violence are powerless to launch the alert and trigger an intervention: how to trigger surely, without taking any risk, an alert followed by an intervention? Is the key question CONNECT & STOP VIOLENCE addresses. The solution is IoT based miniaturized and autonomous alert device, which sends an alert without the need for a telephone (Long range signal). Discreet, modular, open system (connectable to online Apps...), it provides immediate access in all circumstances to any violence victim. Target market includes any abused person at home, people experiencing gender-based and sexual violence in public and private places (businesses, communities, university campus), abused minors, etc. and Distribution of the CONNECT & STOP VIOLENCE device is planned directly through the security services (police, private services, etc.), health services (doctors, hospitals, midwives, pharmacies, etc.), supermarkets, via anonymous individuals, through school services, municipalities, local assistance associations, etc.

Replicability

As written above, CONNECT & STOP VIOLENCE provides immediate access in all circumstances to any violence victim. Target market includes any abused person at home, people experiencing gender-based and sexual violence in public and private places (businesses, communities, university campus), abused minors, etc.
We have a patent pending, and all we can say is that we still need to partner with public / private stakeholders (finance, telecom operators, hardware/software subcontracting, production) to enhance the product development and structure:
- the legal entity of the start-up
- design the usage study, the hardware and software specifications,
- conduct a pre-Study: concept and technical specifications
- Prototype: plastics, electronics, embedded software then production of prototypes and validation
- perfom the Beta-Test, validation (User experience)
- set-up the Industrialization, including mold for plastics, CE certification
- conduct the Testing and validations including Integration into a Cloud Platform
And of course any activity related to:
- Technology watch and protection of innovation
- Marketing, communication
- Distribution, sales
- Project management, change management

Sustainability

a few facts are worth a million words to explain how sustainable and longterm live-saving our project is aligned with:
- 1 in 3 women worldwide have experienced physical and/or sexual violence in their lifetime.
- Globally, as many as 38% of murders of women are committed by a male partner.
- 200 million women and girls have experienced female genital mutilation/cutting (FGM/C).
- Each year, 15 million girls are married before the age of 18. That is 28 girls every minute.
- It is estimated that up to 10 million children are victims of child sexual exploitation.
- School-related gender-based violence means that 1 in 4 girls say that they never feel comfortable using a school latrine.
- Between 80 and 100 million girls are ‘missing’ from the world’s population – victims of gender-based infanticide, femicide, malnutrition and neglect.
- As many as 1 in 4 women experience physical and/or sexual violence during pregnancy.
- As many as 150 million girls worldwide are raped or subject to sexual violence each year, usually by someone in their family circle.
- Over 700 million women alive today were married as children (under the age of 18).
- 30% of females globally have reported that their first sexual experience was forced.
- Domestic violence is a global problem that affects 35% of women worldwide.
- Globally, around 137 women are killed by their partner or a family member every day.
- Women between the ages of 15 and 44 are at a higher risk of rape and domestic violence than cancer, car accidents, malaria or being injured in war.
+40% is the rate of increase of domestic violence during the first lockdown worldwide

We need to urgently address the problem of gender-based violence, for our own children, to align to SDGs and allow a better society.
