With the Whiz Kids (Zeka Gücü in Turkish) project in cooperation with the Ministry of National Education, Turkcell aims to introduce Turkey's gifted students to technology to discover and develop their abilities at an early age. The facilities offered to students in the Whiz Kids Laboratories we have established include laptops, 3D printers, smart board, electronic and robotic coding sets and tool kits.

Children are trained and developing projects in artificial intelligence, coding, space sciences, robotics, smart home and cloud technologies. At the beginning of 2019, thanks to the new generation Whiz Kids education platform utilizing the Open edX infrastructure used by universities such as Stanford, Harvard, MIT, more than 100.000 children are introduced to the project with online education and Whiz Kids mobile applications by 2020.

The Whiz Kids (Zeka Gücü) Project, which has been continuing since 2017, offers a replicable structure every year with its laboratory installations and updated training every year. It expands its range not only with its equipment and updated training, but also with the addition of new fields such as Space Sciences and Artificial Intelligence.

As a part of our replicability approach, we use open source infrastructure and tools in our e-learning system. We are not only sharing our projects source code, but also publishing blog posts and articles on a weekly basis for spreading our culture.

Turkey's 41 provinces established in 59 Technology Laboratories and more than 100K students collaborating in the Whiz Kids (Zeka Gücü) Project, has turned into a living organism. Even during the pandemic period, hackathons, online trainings and more than 260 awards won in international tournaments are the most important indicators that the project has reached a sustainable structure.

Whiz Kids (Zeka Gücü) Project has a strong commitment to build a youth-centred, inclusive and development-oriented Information Society, where everyone can create, access, utilize and share information and knowledge, enabling individuals, communities and peoples to achieve their full potential in promoting their sustainable development. Precisely for this reason, we are traveling all over Turkey step by step, establishing new technology laboratories every year and offer training courses with our instructors, even in the remotest corners of Turkey.
