Pedius Work Inclusion Solution


Description

The Pedius Work Inclusion Solution offers Deaf & Hard of Hearing employees the ability to fully participate in work activities by activating a personal number with unlimited incoming & outgoing calls, conference calls capabilities and specialized incoming call notifications.

We currently support ALL TIM Italia employees and ENEL employees throughout Italy. The activation time is 48 hours and requires no existing infrastructure OR habit changes, allowing businesses to continue business as usual.

Now more than ever, we wish to support Deaf & Hard of Hearing employees in this new Smart Working boom. By enabling these employees to stay connected and fully participate in daily work activities, both at home and in the office, we are not only supporting inclusion and accessibility but also the overall performance of individuals and the company. This, in turn, may reduce stress, fears of losing jobs, thus supporting mental health.

Replicability

Pedius believes its solution can be a worldwide tool. We believe this can be achieved as inclusion and accessibility are becoming highlighted topics within the international community. In addition, the pandemic has shifted the way we work which has led to new requirements and big adjustments for both employees and employers.

Thanks to the structure of Pedius' business model, modularity, and strong added component of advanced technologies, Pedius is easily replicable and therefore has the ability to expand geographically in a rather rapid manner. From an innovative perspective, Pedius is able to adapt our technology to many different existing company infrastructures and standards and is able to be used on various existing devices, without the need to repurchase or change anything both from a user and company/service perspective.


Sustainability

To generate sustainable income, primarily Pedius' goal is to encourage companies and services to contribute to Pedius' Accessibility and Inclusion efforts either by making their call center accessible or supporting Deaf employees.

We work hard to uphold basic human rights such as freedom, equality, well-being, and independence and expect the responsibility of every entity to also uphold these values. In fact, our vision is Accessibility as Opportunity: Pedius wishes to eliminate the existing communication barriers and sensitize the community about openness and accessible abilities of services to the Deaf and Hard of Hearing. We hope to promote the idea that accessibility should not be seen as an obligation to be fulfilled but as an opportunity to offer full services without discrimination and promote equal work.
