Web Accessibility Certificate Austria

Description

Web accessibility is an essential factor for an open, democratic and inclusive society. WACA is the first independent certificate in Austria to prove and show accessibility according to international W3C guidelines (WCAG).
WACA stands for Web Accessibility Certificate Austria and was developed in cooperation with the JKU in Linz, the aid community of the blind and visually impaired in Austria, the business consultant myAbility and specialized digital agencies. The certificate has been in use since 2016, and in 2018 the successful REWE project was launched.
The WACA is Austria's first quality seal for accessibility on the web according to the international W3C guidelines. This official certificate from the independent certification body OCG is designed to ensure accessibility for all people on the website being tested. It honors web accessibility efforts and complies with legal requirements.
