Research at a global level is demonstrating that to narrow the digital divide not only is access to digital technologies essential, but also that people as individuals or collectives appropriately take them. This project aims to work in a creative and innovative way so that children and adolescents develop digital skills and can be builders of their own education. It also seeks to establish communication networks and interdisciplinary work among different professionals and key actors in education in relation to direct beneficiaries, supporting articulations and generating devices that grant greater accessibility to populations and institutions in vulnerable contexts. In this way, the intentionality of the Project is to be an active participant in the promotion of digital inclusion through education. It is not about using technologies and connectivity as a simple resource with which pedagogical practice is modernized, but using the digital resources we have at our disposal, to generate opportunities for creative, motivating and challenging learning, building and expanding a culture according to the information and knowledge society to which we are inserted. In this way, the development of digital skills will allow young people to appropriate technologies, benefit from an open and global Internet that allows them to assist the world from their locations and enhance their training as participatory citizens. They would be able to acquire knowledge, contributing to their education, in order to enhance the improvement of their quality of life in accordance with the Mission of ISOC to promote the open development, evolution and use of the Internet for the benefit of all the people of the world , through in this case the support for education.

The project can be replicated to other contexts, maintaining the participatory methodology to respond to different realities.During the course and at the end of project roll-out, we will be developing audiovisual materials and teaching materials in reference to work accomplished, enabling the methodological transfer and content to different contexts in Spanish and Portuguese. The technologies available on the Internet make it possible for the work team to also carry out distance support in exchange with other groups that wish to implement it.
This project is specifically targeting children and adolescents of Uruguay, giving them the tools to develop digital skills that will allow them to actively contribute to their education. Through interdisciplinary, innovative and collaborative work, they will acquire digital competencies and a familiarity with technologies. In this digital Age, these skills are necessary to help bridge the gap in education. Empowering children to discover the endless possibilities of modern communication tools is giving them the tools to become more literate and conscious of the world that surrounds them.
