Baktiku Negeriku is a CSR program by Telkomsel to the rural communities. This program is manifested in assisting and empowering communities to improve the people’s quality of life in various regions in Indonesia.
The project involve Telkomsel employees in implementing various activities such as green movement, education, and building digital center facilities. To strengthen the contribution, the project present an app, Baktiku Negeriku, to empower rural communities to access extensive information on strategic issues in countryside related to villages potential development, supporting agriculture sector and implementing digital community-based economy.
The empowering start with giving farmers “good information” including agricultural best practices and market prices. The program runs on 11 areas from 2018 to 2019, 8 of which are villages with natural resources potentials, and 3 of them focus agricultural sector to improve the farmers’ quality life in rural area.
At the end of October 2018, 1,268 users have been registered in Baktiku Negeriku app with 400 active users each month. 10,335 users interact in various topics with 84,558 responses were given.
1,748 items were sold in the STORE feature in the app, helping numerous farmers to cut the long market chain and gain more profit.

Baktiku Negeriku emphasizes that villages development must be carried out in a participatory manner, based on the communities’ strength and Independency, and strives to meet current needs without reducing their ability to fulfill their needs in the future. The project development is modeled by increasing the status of underdeveloped villages to developing villages, the villages develops into an independent village through economic empowerment and improving people's welfare. This program provides an intervention focus on:
1. Training and assistance in organizing community by collaboration with Regional Government, Agricultural Extension and Experts from the Agricultural University
2. Digital development devices and supporting tools through Digital Center Facilities
3. Accessible information through mobile applications which empowers farmers by giving them “good information” including agricultural best practices and market prices.
4. Access to network and the other best models’ development through BTS expansion, Cellular Network and provide affordable internet packages
For replicable program purposes in accordance with context, characteristics, and local wisdom from each target villages.

Towards a new era, Indonesia is heading towards national development equality. With "Empowerment" approach through:

2. Encourage good information disclosure and open the space for equal dialogue between communities through digital platforms
3. Global e-commerce system about local products.

5. Connecting many users by mobile application as a welfare enhancement, bringing wider communities together, and bringing in numbers of standby buyers

11. Cooperate with stakeholders and villages government

This is an opportunity for Baktiku Negeriku to bring the digital enhancement to villages, especially farmers and simplify their business processes and ensure the changes that occur are permanent and sustainable.

Baktiku Negeriku apps has fulfilled “technologies can be a powerful instrument, increasing productivity, generating economic growth, job creation and employability and improving the quality of people life”.
