We have started the program in Cameroon. It is on the way to be replicated in Gabon where we have initiated the first training in partnership with the Ministry of Digital Economy who is the main sponsorWe have current demand in others countries where mentors are currently active
The program is run in strong collaboration with partners who provided locations (we have MoU with universities and schools), technical material or facilities (World Bank)We charge a small fees of 15 euros per participant and we do have active members and sponsors who provided donation, skills, time and facilitiesIn order to deliver our technical training, girls need to be in facilities that are mainly located in urban cities where we can deliver the training. We would like to be able to move our facilities in rural zone as to be able to deliver the training in villages and online as well. Currently we have deployed our technical material in AfroLAb to facilitate the online training. We have enrolled our second batch in September 2018 and still having unfulfilled demands from girls in other cities and as well rural zone although we have selected and recruited mentors from different regions of the world. The Prize could help us to achieve a greater impact for off line communities where we cannot currently provide a full answer to existing demands. We are planning to used our e-learning solutions and to fund travels in rural zone and offline communities for our experts to run train the trainers so the communities could connect using a smartphone and have access to online coursesSecond challenge is to maintain the motivation of our beneficiaries. We do have to run activities with side partners and manage many personal issues at time as to keep them focused on the final objectives. At the beginning only 30% of beneficiaries will receive a certificate. We are progressively increasing this number through a rigorous selecting process and a constant coaching even on personal challenges.
Our focus is on gender equity and capacity building as we believe it is impossible to achieve achieve gender equality out of quality education. And the rest will follow
