Based on scientific evidence that weighs early reading skills as one of the keys to better intellectual development in the future, the San Luis Province Government has developed and implemented various e-learning platforms with the aim of improving reading skills and encouraging children's curiosity.
Those children who manage to achieve early the level of reading fluency will be able to pass school without difficulty.
From the University of La Punta, we carry out a mega reading plan aimed at all children and young people of school age in the Province of San Luis. In order to ensure an optimal level of understanding, according to global standards that have been analyzed and certified.
Only the students and teachers of the educational system can access the reading platform, www.lectura.sanluis.edu.ar, using their institutional email with domain @sanluis.edu.ar. This platform presents different texts, each one specific for different educational levels, and after reading, there is a trivia that has to be answered. This is every day of the year.
Through a contest called "Sumá Leyendo" (Add up by reading) we were able to test that, in a month, more than 11,000 enrolled students who used the tool doing a daily reading and answering the corresponding trivia Improved 10% their reading comprehension, and many of them generated the habit of daily reading.

The government of San Luis promotes strong policies against the fight against poverty, the strengthening of digital inclusion, gender equality, care for the environment, among others, through multiple initiatives and public policies. The development of a connectivity infrastructure, with a fiber optic network of more than 3,260 kilometers that allows free connectivity of the entire population throughout the territory, the delivery of devices, the development of digital platforms and ICT training they contribute strongly in these purposes.
