Sistas Mastering Advanced Real Technology

Description

The SMART Sistas ICT Camp for Girls strives to empower girls aged 9-14 to pursue educational opportunities in information communication technology areas to help Vanuatu reach gender equality in the ICT field through a intensive ICT camp.

The end five day camp provided each girl and their parent/guardian with:
24 hours of ICT technical training through the TechRocket.com curriculum.
12 hours of leadership and gender empowerment training through GLOW activities.
4 hours of career exploration in telecommunications, television, radio broadcasting, computer hardware, software and services and electronic media.

By the end of the camp, the participants had learned new ICT skills in various fields in ICT as well as gain confidence in both themselves and their ability in the ICT field.
