Women and IT Entrepreneurship

Description

Bangladesh Women in Technology (BWIT) is dedicated to mobilizing women involved in all levels of the technology industry and to create a wide range of professional development and networking opportunities for growth of its constituents and to make meaningful contribution in the growth of Bangladesh.

Luna Shamsuddoha empowered women by packaging public resources for support to SME’s and leveraging government policy of Digital Bangladesh.
As founder President of Bangladesh Women in Technology (BWIT) and Director of SME Foundation, I created a Project harnessing resources and talent to enhance the capacities of women who were initially accessed by the A2I Project of the Prime Minister’s Office.
I will be empowering 3000 IT based women-owned businesses and freelancers in every Union in rural Bangladesh by bringing together resource of the government; know-how of the SME organization and project of the PMO. The focus is on women and IT entrepreneurship only. Scope of their activities will increase. They will provide services to government and companies. Through use of my networks it received attention of my peers globally. They will help integrate with the supply chain.
