The national education portal project “iEN” was copied as a portal for the educational initiative “Al-ElmYaman” which was one of many initiatives for education sustainability in Yamen. In cooperation with King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center we have used the specific structure of the portal and reset the content to be compatible with Yamen’s school curriculum, and provide the proper educational content, and e-training programs for teachers to support the transformation into digital learning as alternative.
Yes, this project is sustainable for the following reasons:• The portal is one of the executive policies for the education development plan in the Kingdom, which has been proven to achieve the education and technology blending goals. In addition, it is one of the transformation tools toward digital learning, which aims to include all teachers, students, parents, education ministry leadership and all education researchers around the world.• The portal provides diverse tools and resources to achieve good education outcomes; it is free to access in all means and devices. • Education is provided for both male / female in / out of the Kingdom in all cities and provinces and for elders who have enrolled in programs to eliminate illiteracy and for special need students at any time suitable for them.
• Providing educational digital enrichment content in line with high quality international standards to improve Saudi education. In addition to provide a design that matches state of the art technology. • Developing a formal unified national portal “iEN” that provides the last version of digital textbooks. • Solving the academic dropout issue in regions with unstable conditions. • Providing equality and equity to educational opportunities to students via a variety of E- educational alternatives. • Reducing financial costs to deliver education and curricula for the beneficiaries. • Contributing to sustainable education by providing e-learning alternatives and making it easy to access for all beneficiaries in / out the Kingdom.
