The I’CITYFORALL project aims atenhancing the sense of security andself-confidence of presbycusic peoplewhose hearing degradation increaseswith age. Two mobility environments areconsidered: public confined spaces andurban space. The ICT solutions consistof intelligent loudspeakers for better intelligibilityof vocal messages in publicconfined spaces and systems embeddedin vehicles for better localization ofurban sound alarms like ambulances, police cars, fire trucks, etc., as the presbycusisalters the perception of distanceand the direction of sound source. The targeted population corresponds topeople older than 50 years in mobilitysituations and affected by presbycusisthat induces a loss of sense of safetyand self-confidence.The I’CITYFORALL innovations will betested by using the analysis softwaredeveloped by the CENTICH and involving90 users of the targeted populationwhich will be compared to a normalgroup of population. The results of thisassessment will form the basis of a labellingprocedure that can be extendedto other technological solutions.Three demonstrators will be presentedat the end of the I’CITYFORALL project:s Assessing Intelligibility product basedon the I’CITYFORALLs Loudspeakers dedicated to largespacess Vehicles equipped with automatic real-timepresbycusis equalization andalarm localization systems
