MOBILE COMPUTER LAB


Description

Mobile Computer Lab is a program under PEN Tanzania, established in the year 2016 with its main focus on teaching girls in public primary school on basic practical computer knowledge (ICT), computer coding and introduction to robotics. We teach girls from class five to seven who belong in the age group of 11-15. Mission Prepare a generation of girls through ICT training with the purpose of creating equal opportunity and bridging the existing gap.

Replicability

We started with one school and now we operate in 5 public primary school and next year we plan to reach more the 10 schools that we have partner with them and ready to start our program. We also received an application from organization from Malawi that they want to franchise our program to their country.


Sustainability

Upon mutual agreement with stakeholders, we help the school to establish a permanent computer laboratory for its pupils, which will be managed by the trained ICT school teachers with frequent monitoring and evaluation from PEN Tanzani
