Training program for women


Description

Ministry of Trade, Tourism and Telecommunications of the Republic of Serbia has set out the promotion of gender equality in the field of ICT as one of its goals, since not only there is a huge potential for employment in the field of information technology, but also the possession of ICT skills has become a requirement for many different professions. In accordance with that, the Ministry has initiated a training program for women with the aim of acquiring and developing digital skills and fostering digital literacy, as well as learning programming. The training program was designed to last up to 9 months and provide basic knowledge of programming languages such as JavaScript, HTML and CSS. Non-governmental associations chosen at a public tender announced by the Ministry operatively carried out the programs.
