This project, “Campus Tecnológico UGR para Chicas” (“UGR Tech Camp for Girls”) aims to show computer sciences and telecommunications as free areas of social stereotypes, working directly with a group of pre-university girls (High School). UGR Tech Camp is an opportunity for girls who are studying in pre - university levels to approach the world of technology, know and value the role of women in the world of ICT and encourage vocation on technology. This project is structured as a two-week activity where participants study at the University of Granada, executing a technology-based project with open tools (open software and hardware). However, around this core event a semester-long campaign on the role of women in science in technology is also performed via hackathons, blog posts and talks, so that the impact of the camp goes beyond the two weeks and the limited amount of girls that take place in it.
