Empowering Women through Technology - Digital Hubs in Smart Villages

Description

United for Hope and Shakti Empowerment Solutions’ Smart Village strategy combines education and entrepreneurial business opportunities to transform the lives of India’s rural poor. We work with and for underserved villagers to address community issues and build new attitudes and structures. We have successfully implemented wide-ranging social development programs in our pilot SV of Tirmasahun in Uttar Pradesh, Northern India. Our approach is both for-profit and non-profit, and requires investment and commitment from those being served. We organize projects with a holistic approach through three overarching pillars: social enterprise education community support. In our area, millions lose their rights, assets and education because of the lack of access to information.
