E-Health Alagoas


Description

Telehealth of the State of Alagoas is part of The National Telehealth Brazil Networks Program, which was established through the Ordinance of the Ministry of Health nº 35 of January 2007, and is coordinated by the Secretariats of Labor and Health Education (SGTES) and Health Care (SAS).
It enables the strengthening and improvement of the quality of primary care services in the Unified Health System (SUS), integrating Permanent Health Education (EPS) and health care support through information and communication technologies (ICT) tools and technologies. It is constituted by State, Intermunicipal and Regional Nuclei, that develop and offer specific services for professionals and workers of the SUS.
This program was created by the federal government in 2005, but only in 2011 was the agreement signed with the State Health Secretariat to cover the 9th and 10th health region. Being the 7th and 8th region with the Nucleus of Telehealth of the Municipality of Arapiraca and the 1st to the 6th region with Nucleus of Telehealth of the Municipality of Maceió.
