ECS is the pioneer organization to promote Science, Technology, Engineering & Mathematics (STEM) education in Bangladesh. Since the beginning ECS has been working on Science education development and with the present demand of the first world ECS started working on STEM education. ECS had organized a two days long Teachers’ Training for the qualified STEM teachers of renowned schools of Dhaka city and afterwards arranged a Grand STEM Innovation Fair for the students of those schools. Honorable U.S. Ambassador to Bangladesh Marcia Bloom Bernicat was present as the Chief Guest in the fair and other high officials from the US Embassy were present on the occasion. This project was supported by the Federal Assistance Award of the US Department of State. In future ECS is going to promote STEM all over the country and will arrange STEM Olympiad in national and international levelAs my organization is working in the field level to promote STEM, I can say how challenging it is, it seems to me that we are just at the beginning stage. Many institutions, teachers, students are asking for our support. We are trying hard and hope to bring all hidden figures in light who can make a revolution.

This is a very sustainable and systematic work. It has started from 2010 and still going on. We had started with only five under served schools. We gave training to all teachers. Then students of those schools attended in workshop and hands on training to make their projects in Science Fair. We ensured all female teachers and girls are attending as our aim was to promote Science and Technology among girls. Then with the direct support from us those schools organized Science Fairs. At the same time we had started forming STEM Clubs to give it a permanent shape as the students can work continuously. In every work we got support from our science and technology experts from home and abroad. Their opinion, remarks, evolution and interest to help us again and again scaled our work. We got high appreciation and continuous support from US Department of State. Many institutions in home and abroad took our project as a model and ask about our journey and challenges. Huffington Post published a wonderful report “Future Tiger: Bangladesh and the need for STEM Education” on our effort. Achieving Alumni Excellence Award for promoting STEM education in Bangladesh is another sign of our success. We got huge appreciation, support, and inspiration from administrations, parents, teachers and students which helped us to measure our success.
By promoting STEM education in Bangladesh.
