Jaracare

Description

Jaracare is an online medical consultation platform which enable people in remote areas to consult Doctors at no cost.We are solving the problem of poor accessibility to quality health services among people in remote areas.we run a B2B business model where we refer patients to hospitals and the hospitals pay for our referral. We use Internet and USSD to provide health information and service access to people in areas where there are no Doctors.
we have over 100000 patients in our platform now and we have the potential reaching out to over 50 million people in Nigeria and beyond.
Mission Statement:
“Valuable community Healthcare Service at the Fingertips for everyone in everywhere at anytime”
Company Goals and Objectives: To become the number one digital healthcare service provider in Africa by constantly adapting to technologies that improves community healthcare delivery through bridging scarcity of physicians in order to create abundance that support the voices of patients.

Started by a team of three; a doctor and two business graduates, Jaracare.com is a subsidiary of Jaracare internet company ltd registered in Nigeria and UK. As a telemedicine community healthcare platform, jaracare.com allows users with health challenges to meet patients like them who share similar health challenge for support and encouragement and even refer doctors since Nigeria has limited doctors and specialist with patient to doctor ratio at about 1doctor to over 4000 patients against WHO recommendation of 1: 600 (patients). Beside consulting doctors, users can also read health tips or use Jaracare as an assisting partner in their medical trip to India which accounts for 75% of the $1 dollar medical tourism market value in Nigeria.
Since there is health inequality, scarcity and an unequal access to doctors, jaracare.com will utilize and leverage the internet with over 60million users (Business Impact) to create abundance in primary and preventive healthcare access anywhere anytime.
