Conceived by CGI.br, the Internet Segura portal brings together awareness-raising initiatives on security and responsible use of the Internet in Brazil, helping Internet users to locate information of interest and encouraging the safe use of the Internet. This a useful platform especially for parents and teachers. The portal also brings initiatives from other entities and institutions on the safe use of the Internet. It concentrates all the initiatives of awareness of CGI.br in one place.

In this platform, NIC.br has produced several materials focused on different audiences: children, adolescents, parents, educators, and the general public. All material produced by NIC.br can be used and distributed freely. The NIC.br (The Information and Coordination Center of Ponto BR) is a private, non-profit civil entity that implements the decisions and projects of the Internet Steering Committee in Brazil.
