mHub


Description

mHub is Malawi's first Technology Hub. The hub trains, mentors, incubates and accelerates emerging innovators with digital skills to build sustainable technology solutions. The hub targets children, girls and youth ages 7 to 35. The hub's main objective is to enhance digital skills amongst children, girls and youth to transcend from consumers of technology to creators of technology
Some of the Hub Activities include: Childrens Coding Club: Over 2000 children have been trained to develop animations, games and mobile applications. Girls Coding Club: Over 4,000 girls have been trained basic computer skills to develop games, web and mobile applications. Robotics Club: Training girls the basics of Robotics. This is Malawi's first Robotics club. Social Entrepreneurship Boot Camps: Girls are trained how to develop sustainable business models. Impactathon: Social Entrepreneurship challenge for youth to pitch and dvelope their social impact business ideas further. 265 Pitch Nights: A platform where emerging entrepreneurs pitch their business ideas to potential investors, clients and partners
