Assure Uganda is a girl led organization with currently the membership of 464 girls and 58 boy who all work as volunteers. Assure Uganda works in Kabale Municipality south western Uganda.The organization targets youth but more so adolescent girls and young women all below 27 years. If a member goes beyond 27 she becomes a promoter and or senior adviser and ceases to have voting rights but can be appointed to represent the organization any where.
Assure Uganda works to achieve the following objectives. 1.To engage young people in health, policy and advocacy issues through providing development education and support. 2. to create HIV prevention awareness among girls in and out of school and to demand for safer sex. 3. to contribute towards the reduction of school dropout level among young people in Uganda through influencing positive behaviors change. 4. to provide professional peer education services to young people in Kabale Municipality. 5. to contribute towards a reduction in all forms of violence against girls and young women in Uganda 6. to equip girls with digital knowledge and gainful employable skills for self reliance. 7.to empower generations to make informed decisions and life choices through restoring hope among girls and women. Assure Uganda currently runs the following objectives -Empowering Women Through Improved Cooking Stoves. -Girls and Skill Development Project -Increasing Awareness of Women's right and Participation in governance. - Life Skills
