Launched in August 2017, Khabrona.Info (Khabrona or خبرونا means "inform us" in Arabic) harnesses the potential of digital tools and mobile connectivity to increase the security and self-reliance of refugees, particularly female refugees. It is a website and mobile application that links vulnerable populations with reliable and trustworthy information about all aspects of life as a refugee. The audience for Khabrona.Info is Syrian refuges and vulnerable Jordanian host community members. Multi-channel engagement allows users to connect with Mercy Corps Program Officers from the safety of their own homes. The two goals of the Khabrona.info are to deliver credible and accurate information to as large a group of target beneficiaries as possible and to provide a convenient two-way communication channel to receive and respond to feedback from beneficiaries. To date, Khabrona.Info has over 700 app downloads and more than 30000 active followers on social media. In the coming months, Khabrona.Info will expand its scope to include information provision and service mapping from peer organizations and governmental institutions, transforming Khabrona.Info into a primary hub for vulnerable populations in Jordan.
