The Center for DevelopmentSupport Initiatives CEDSI through its enterprise hubs has for years worked with in School based groups and out of school based groups domiciled in rural communities to provide access to training and capacity building in STEM.The project had a target of providing training access and skills development to 5 thousand youths every year and in collaboration with other partners achieved this key objective through its innovative skills for change project . The project uses the power of information and communication technologies (ICTs) to empower women and girls across Rivers State. Besides improving women and girl's digital technology access, connectivity and security in collaboration with target partners like Google,EU/W2030 etc The project supported the development of science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) skills of women and girls. Building their capacity in coding,Programming etc and enhancing their ability to design solutions to societal challenges using technology.The women and girls are trained to identify community challenges and profer target solutions that technology cam address like violent extremism through utilising a social media alert system.
