HandEyes is an Ecuadorian project that is in charge of developing products and technological tools that improve the quality of life of people with visual disabilities. The goal of HandEyes is to achieve a more inclusive society by developing electronic devices that can change and impact the lives of blind people. Thus, they developed "EyeBorg", a superficial implant that through an actuator allows people to have an increased perception of the environment. EyeBorg allows the user to feel how far the obstacle is from and also allows him to verify the dimensions of the obstacle with a slight movement of the head, thus improving the ability to orient himself and his mobility. The idea is to generate a new sense for the blind people with our technology.
