Telemedicine Solutions Program


Description

The health sector in Egypt is facing many challenges as shortage of medical services and resources distribution inequalities. The Telemedicine Solutions in remote areas provide better health care services through Telemedicine-system that remotely connects isolated hospitals and clinics with (network of professional reference doctors-set of effective training to enhance the local general practitioners’ skills - workshops to strengthen citizens’ health-awareness focusing on women and girls). The program served Siwa oasis (average-population 23,000) and Nubia area (average-population 5660) providing them with tele-consultation infrastructure and services. The project is now expanding its resources to cover all remote and border areas across Egypt.
