On 1 January 2008, the Co-operative Development Department of Malaysia was transformed to become Co-operative Commission of Malaysia (SKM). Section 4 of the Malaysia Co-operative Societies Commission Act 2007 has defined Commission’s objective as:a. to foster sound and orderly development of co-operative societies and the co-operative sector in accordance with co-operative values and principles to contribute towards achieving the socio-economic objectives of the nation; b. to promote a financially sound, progressive and resilient co-operative sector; and c. to maintain confidence in the co-operative movement.The InnovationSKM has introduced Dividend And Honorarium Online Application in order to fulfilled the promise in The Government Transformation Plan especially 1Malaysia, People First, Performance Now Concept. Audit Division of SKM have taken initiative to develop the system that can satisfy the needs of Co-operators in Malaysia to obtain faster approval of dividend and honoraria payments in accordance with the requirements Section 57 Co-operative Societies Act 1993 and SKM Directive 1/2011. System design is a collaboration with the SKM Information Management Division. This system will enable the Co-operators getting the approval for payout of dividend and honorarium in a shorter time, reduce costs, paperless and it can be used anywhere provided that the internet connection is made available. Online Application System or in short SKM OnLine facilitate customers (Co-operators) to make an application to the SKM via short SKM OnLine. The application result can also be access from the system via SKM Website: www.skm.gov.my of by direct access at https://apponline.skm.gov.my.
