Integrated Services Program

Description

Utilising technological advancements to make processes smoother, more efficient, and paperless, Emirates Health Services (EHS ), UAE, continues to innovate its workflows even with external entities. Many projects have come up that strive to maximise our efficiencies by banking on their Oracle Cerner EHR (Wareed’s) capability of the integrated flow of information between different systems.
With a vision to promote a culture of creativity and innovation through an integrated electronic platform using their EHR Wareed, four Screening programs were identified to be included under this initiative. These include pre-employment, pre-marital, pre-university, and national reserve screening programs provided at our Primary health care centres to meet the needs of four government entities (Federal Authority for Government Human Resources, Ministry of Justice, Ministry of Education, and Ministry of Defence). These services were reliant on manual processes that could be time-consuming. The Screening visits involved a lot of information gathering on papers and more than one visit to a physician to complete the screening process and receive a fitness certificate. Each visit was tied to at least one paper to print the fitness certificate.
