OneMoney Digital group lending for women MSMEs


Description

NetOne is a mobile network operator that has a digital financial services business as a stand alone business unit, it focuses on empowering economically the marginalised women through agency model, creation of a credit rating score to include the marginalised in accessing credit, it also offers data and communications services at very affordable rates for the poor as well as paternering in digital financial services plus products to bring convenience and risk mitigation amongst the masses inform of micro insurance, utilities directly accessed from the mobile financial services platform, NetOne champions innovation and makes E Commerce platforms accessible at almost for free to the marginalised creating an enabling environment to support business growth especially for women business.

Yes it has been replicated across the country in every district and employment opportunities created to train the targeted groups. It Is organically growing.


Sustainability

The loans are 100 percent digital, authorised by every group member on their mobile phones and are disbursed into the group business wallet account in real time. It also creates a consolidated credit score after rating each group member and raises red flag on group members with a weak credit score providing option to remove or consider them as part of risk mitigation measures. Uniquely identified every member by the National Identity Number to mitigate risk of borrowers joining and borrowing in more than one group.


WSIS values promotion

The loan scheme proved to be highly beneficial for thousands of women's households and is a great example of support for values like equality, inclusion and diversity.
