Global AI Summit

Description

The Global AI Summit, organized by the Saudi Data & AI Authority (SDAIA) and G20 Saudi Secretariat, is the world's premier platform for dialogue that brings together stakeholders from public sectors, academia and private sector, including technology companies, investors, entrepreneurs and startups to shape the future of Artificial Intelligence (AI).

It is a unique global opportunity to explore what the new global era means to AI, how AI's transformational potential can be best used to create a better future for all, and what this means for policy and decision makers interested in leveraging the potential, for the good of humanity. Three strategic agreements between SDAIA and leading companies were signed.

The Global AI Summit aligns with the Kingdom’s aspirations to be a world leader in data-driven economies and artificial intelligence. The summit also sheds light on the role Saudi Data & AI Authority plays in spearheading alternative economies, in cooperation with its partners and other entities, to achieve the Kingdom’s Vision 2030 goals.

Replicability

The summit is innovative and the first of its kind to act as the premier platform for dialogue that brings together stakeholders and startups to shape the future of Artificial Intelligence (AI). The summit emphasized the importance of embracing artificial intelligence and harnessing its capabilities to unleash its potential for the good of humanity. It is one of the largest artificial intelligence events worldwide aiming to construct dialogues of global importance, whether in terms of recovering from the pandemic or the trends that shape the field of artificial intelligence. Other countries can replicate the concept with the availability of the proper technological infrastructure and collaboration efforts with the respective stakeholders.

Sustainability

It aims to construct dialogues of global importance, whether in terms of recovering from the pandemic or the trends that shape the field of artificial intelligence. These dialogues will help develop strategies necessary to establish an effective and influential system for artificial intelligence, encourage cooperation between leaders in this field, and explore national strategic options. It also comes in line with the Kingdom's endeavor to achieve its aspirations for global leadership through a data-based economy and artificial intelligence. It also highlights the role played by SDAIA in the strategic leadership of the alternative economy in cooperation with many relevant parties to achieve the goals of Vision 2030. The summit aims to create a global destination for AI activities in the Kingdom, where it will be held annually to discuss the reality, future and issues of AI and shed light on the latest research and technologies in this field.

WSIS values promotion

The summit’s core value is set to encourage significant dialogue, both in terms of recovery from the pandemic and identifying trends that shape the field of artificial intelligence, and will discuss vital factors related to creating an effective system for AI, nurturing cooperation between leaders in the field, and exploring national-level strategies.
