Due to the weak awareness of network security and the difficulty in understanding high technology, the vulnerable groups such as middle-aged and elderly people and students can easily become the target of criminals.

Based on the typical security demands of network security, terminal security, application security and business security, China Mobile has developed the "Watchman" terminal security toolbox to provide users with one-stop technical capability support for information security and build a privacy protection system for mobile Internet users. The toolbox based on the cloud security ability of China Mobile, innovate the privacy protection system of "static permissions detection + dynamic behavior characteristics+ DPI intelligent network analysis" , the toolbox helps 900 million safe pre-installed APP, and 300 million users at ease use.
The toolbox has rich application scenarios and security protection value, which can improve the network security consciousness of ordinary people, and has obtained the good social benefit.

The cloud linkage mode is reproducible. As an original professional security product, the software adopts a loose-coupling structure to realize the aggregation of "1 toolbox +N items of expansion ability". It can stack each functional module with blocks according to the needs; quickly meet the differentiated application scenarios, which can be rapidly replicated. The hardware of toolbox has been certified by authoritative department, which has high security, and adopts the standard interface design, which can realize out-of-the-box, batch deployment, plug and play, the toolbox has the safe reproducibility on the hardware.

In December 2016, the "Watchman" began to be applied in business hall in provinces and some important governmental agencies and enterprises customers of China Mobile. In 2017, the "Watchman" began to be used to support various important activities. Subsequently, the deployment scope and service population of the toolbox are expanding. Until November 2019, the toolbox has covered more than 100 business hall in many cities and counties, serving 30000 ordinary clients and more than 60 enterprises.

The project has successively produced 9 invention patents, 11 standards and 1 software copyright.

The toolbox integrates the functions of the software and hardware of security detection, namely plug and play, which has good expansibility in software and supports the expansion of hardware modules in hardware, and has good adaptability and reproducibility. With the continuous expansion of toolbox deployment scale and detection terminal scale, there is still much room for development in terms of privacy protection and APP security operation situational awareness, and the project has a good sustainability.
