China attaches great importance to online protection of children. In this project, the China Academy of Information and Communications Technology (CAICT) supports relevant government departments in formulating and revising laws and regulations such as the Law on the Protection of Minors, Regulations on the Protection of Minors' Online Information, and Regulations on the Protection of Children's Personal Information Online, so as to strengthen the legal safeguard of children's online protection.CAICT cooperates with and guides Internet enterprises to promote the "Online Anti-addiction System for Teenagers" to improve the cultivation of network literacy. CAICT has made full use of China Mobile's network and user resources to carry out bad information management, to create a safe and healthy online environment, and to build a multi-party network security protection system for Chinese Children, by which positive results have been achieved.

The project provides replicable design from the top and practice implemented which can provide a reference to other countries in protecting children online. It also shows cooperation architecture between Government, private sector and academia, which can promote inclusive and safe development of society.

This project will help provide a solid legal foundation and valuable practical experience for Chinese children to access the Internet securely. On the basis of the positive results achieved, the project party will join with more stakeholders to continue to improve the protection system for children to use Internet securely in terms of laws, policies, and technical standards.

This project has established a multi-participation online safety protection system for children, and formed a multi-participation governance system with the participation of government authorities, mass organizations, primary and secondary schools, industry associations, Internet enterprises and children's guardians, forming a joint force of the whole society for the protection of online safety of children.
