Digital China “Pilot Project”


Description

The informatization and digitalization of the world economy is an inevitable trend.The Chinese government highly values the development of digital economy and takes it as a strategic priority to accelerate the building of a "Digital China".
The Digital China“Pilot project” is designed to build the most influential brand promotion plan for the Digital China, mainly through activities—both online and offline, and in a way of integration between medias—both traditional and new.
The project will offer all walks of life the authoritative development information of Digital China with high quality, establish a platform for communication between the government, enterprises, and the public, as well as explore and promote the excellent practice case of digital transformation and innovation. It could help the general public to better grasp the opportunities in China's digital transformation, facilitate digital transformation for industries, and build momentum for sustainable development of the economy and society powered by digital technology.

Sustainability

The Digital China "Pilot Project" is committed to a comprehensive popularization of digital technology in China. In the next step, the project will organize the selection of the "Hundred Scenes of Digital China" to collectively promote China's latest innovation and entrepreneurship in digital economy and best solutions of digital transformation of traditional industries. In addition, the project will also share the experiences in build Digital China with more developing nations.


WSIS values promotion

the China Academy of Information and Communications Technology launched the Digital China "Pilot Project", which help the general public to better get involved into China's digitalization and promote digital transformation of the economy and society, to bring development dividends to all the people through real-time information release, communication platforms, and promotion of excellent cases. Digital China "Pilot Project" is a professional and systematic brand promotion plan for Digital China. With the combination of online and offline activities and integration of traditional and new media, the project will provide authoritative and high-quality information on Digital China for all walks of life, build a communication platform for the government, enterprises, and the public, and demonstrate the outstanding cases in promoting digital transformation and innovation. The Digital China "Pilot Project" is aimed at help the general public to participate and understand China's policy directions, industrial development, with an active role in boosting internet-based poverty alleviation, e-commerce in rural areas, and transformation of small and medium-sized enterprises. At the same time, the project also made its contribution in improving the digital skills of the whole society, and encouraging the participation of youngsters, females, and those living in remote areas in digitalization. The project echoes WSIS's concept to eliminate information asymmetry and bridge the digital gap through media.
